Abhishek Sharma (born 4 September 2000) is an Indian cricketer who plays for the national team. Abhishek Sharma was born on 4 September 2000 in Amritsar, Punjab, to father Raj Kumar Sharma and mother Manju Sharma. He is the youngest of three children, with two elder sisters, Komal and Sonia. He completed his schooling at Delhi Public School.

Sharma made his first-class debut for Punjab in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on 6 October 2017. In the 2023-24 season, he led Punjab to their maiden Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy win, finishing as the second-highest run scorer with 485 runs from ten innings, at an average of 48.50 and a strike rate of 192.46. List A Cricket
In the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, Sharma showcased his skills with Punjab. On 28 February 2021, he made history by scoring the fastest hundred by an Indian in List A cricket, off just 42 balls, against Madhya Pradesh.
IPL Career

2018: Delhi Daredevils
In January 2018, Sharma was bought by Delhi Daredevils in the IPL auction for Rs 5.5 million. He made his IPL debut on 12 May 2018, scoring 46 runs off 19 balls.
2019–Present: Sunrisers Hyderabad
In February 2022, he was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2022 tournament. He played 14 matches during that season, scoring 426 runs. In the 2024 IPL, Sharma set the record for the fastest fifty for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Mumbai Indians on 27 March 2024. He finished the season with 484 runs in 16 matches, boasting a strike rate of around 200, including 42 sixes. Sharma was the second-highest run-scorer for Sunrisers Hyderabad that season, behind Travis Head. Sunrisers Hyderabad made it to the finals, where they ultimately lost to Kolkata Knight Riders.
International Career

Under-19 International
Sharma captained the India Under-19 team during the 2016 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka, leading them to victory. He also captained India in a 2017 Youth ODI series against England, which India won 3-1. In the 2018 U19 Cricket World Cup, he participated in all of India’s matches, contributing with 50 runs against Bangladesh in the quarterfinals.
T20 International
Sharma made his T20I debut on 6 July 2024 during India’s series against Zimbabwe. In his second match, on 7 July 2024, he made an incredible debut by scoring his maiden T20I century, a remarkable achievement that set the stage for his future international career.
